Local School Celebrates 50 Years, Looks Forward 50 More | Community Spirit

St. Dennis School on Madison's far east side celebrated its 50-year anniversary on Tuesday.

Every student received a T-shirt and the student body and staff were photographed in the shape of the No. 50.

Father Kent Schmitt, pastor of St. Dennis Parish, then blessed the students and the school. To help celebrate a time capsule was filled with items provided by each class including class photos and lists, hot lunch menus, St. Dennis logoed clothing and much more.

The time capsule will be opened in 2060.
