Business reports $20,000 in theft to Madison police | Business
This week Madison Police investigated a significant theft in which more than $20,000 was stolen from a far east Madison business.
Police said the theft can be tracked down to between February and August 2011 at a business located in the 4700 block of Lien Road.
The items are tank monitoring systems for gas stations to use to monitor their level of fuel at each store. The delay in reporting came as the company searched for these components and came to the conclusion they were stolen, police said.
The items serve no other purpose than to monitor gas levels in tanks at gas stations, officials said.
Anyone with information about this theft are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
