Stranger follows 2 girls on Topaz Lane, police say | Crime
Police said a stranger followed and called out to two girls walking on the east side Wednesday night.
The Madison Police Department said a 13-year-old and an 8-year-old girl were walking on Topaz Lane at 6:51 p.m. when a man they didn't know was waving a hand in the air and shouting to them. The girls told police they didn't understand what the man had shouted.
The girls went to the home of a trusted adult and called police.
According to the report, the girls told police they saw the same man on an earlier date driving a maroon-colored car. One of the girls thought the man may have been drunk.
The man was described as white, between 5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet tall with a thin build, police said. He had dark hair, a small scar under his left eye and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, blue jeans and black shoes.
