A Madison bicyclist was injured after he was struck by a driver on the north side of Madison Sunday night, police said.

The Madison Police Department said a 27-year-old man was driving east on Commercial Avenue at 8:08 p.m. and making a left onto Packers Avenue when he struck a man on a bicycle.

The 55-year-old cyclist was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The car's windshield was shattered in the crash, according to the report.

No citations were issued as of Tuesday afternoon. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
