A Baraboo man is facing charges after witnesses said he passed out while stopped at several Madison intersections.
Police said they arrested Richard E. Borousk Thursday morning at the intersection of High Crossing Boulevard and East Springs Drive after he failed a field sobriety test.
Other drivers called 911 after seeing Borousk fall asleep at other traffic lights on High Crossing Boulevard. The witnesses said the 41-year-old would come-to enough to drive to the next intersection before falling asleep again.
Borousk denied passing out and believed his driving was just fine, police said. He also denied using drugs.
Police arrested Borousk on suspicion of driving under the influence. He also faces charges for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
He fell asleep several times inside the squad car as he was taken to a hospital and later to jail, police said.
