Group detained after shots fired on east side | News

Multiple callers reported hearing gunshots in the 2700 block of Washington Avenue on Madison?s east side Monday night, according to Madison police.

Officers were dispatched to the area at 8:32 p.m. on reports that up to five gunshots were fired.

Residents reported seeing a group of people scatter from a gas station to 2702 E. Washington Ave., according to police.

No victims had been located.

Police said a group of people located in the immediate area were detained for further questioning.
